NoPeep Privacy Policy

This policy covers the NoPeep Chrome extension (called Đừng Ngó in Vietnamese). It explains what the extension does with your data, which is very little. For the geekypeepo.com website itself (ads, cookies, hosting), see the website privacy policy. Tiếng Việt: Chính sách quyền riêng tư.

What we do not collect

NoPeep does not collect, store or transmit message content, names, photos, contacts or any identifier. We use no analytics and no third-party SDKs.

Data stored on your device

Your choices (feature toggles, accent colour, language, theme), the language of Zalo's interface as the extension detected it, and the extension's own status are stored locally on your device with chrome.storage. They never leave your browser.

One network request

So that a broken feature can be paused after Zalo changes its interface, the extension may download a small static JSON file (flags.json) from our website. The request carries no content, cookies or identifiers, and the file contains only on/off values and a version number, never code. As with any web request, the server can see your IP address. We do not use it to identify or track you.

Quick actions and message translation

The pin and mark-unread buttons click the matching items in Zalo's own menu on your screen. NoPeep does not call Zalo's API and sends nothing.

When you translate a message, the text is processed by Chrome's built-in translation on your own device. NoPeep does not send it to our servers or to any other server. Translations are held in memory in the tab only and disappear when you reload the page. Chrome may download a language pack the first time, and Chrome does that, not NoPeep.

Permissions

• storage: stored locally to remember your choices.
• chat.zalo.me: the only site the extension runs on, to apply the blur and show the settings panel and quick-action buttons.

Statistics from the Chrome Web Store

Install and weekly-user counts are provided to developers by Google's Chrome Web Store. We have no other usage data.

Limits

OS notifications, the browser tab title and window previews are not blurred, and other people can still photograph or record your screen.
